Pole-mounted electric vehicle charger trial

We are deploying 100 pole-mounted electric vehicle (EV) chargers across our network.

The rollout will support more motorists to switch to an EV; particularly people without access to off-street parking.

We will leverage our existing infrastructure to install, own and maintain the 100 chargers over the life of the trial.

This will allow the new points to be rolled out quickly and cost effectively, with our resources on hand to fix any issues that arise.

Our innovative model will allow multiple e-mobility service providers (EMSPs) to access each point. This will create new competition in the market and help EV drivers to get the best deal when charging.

We are seeking expressions of interest from E-Mobility Service Providers (EMSPs) wanting to partner on the rollout of the 100 chargers.

We are particularly keen to partner with organisations that bring innovative business models, customer-focused charging solutions, and a commitment to accelerating the transition to low-emissions transport.

If your business is currently engaged in the EMSP sector - or has a strategic interest in entering this market - we welcome your expression of interest.

Your EOI should include:

  • A brief profile that includes relevant EMSP experience (or strategic direction)
  • A description of your platform capabilities
  • An overview of your geographic and/or network coverage
  • Evidence of compliance with data privacy, security and OCPI
  • Any current integrations with Charge Point Operators
  • Any additional information you may wish to share to support your EOI

We will consider selected providers for inclusion in our EMSP partner framework.

Please email electricvehicles@ue.com.au to submit your EOI or discuss the opportunity further. Submissions close on 17 November 2025.

If you have already lodged an EOI in response to our previous callout, we have your details and you do not need to make a new submission.
